Have you ever dreamed of flying a GA aircraft on a long trip? EHFC and EAA Chapter 811 member Mike Brown just returned from a three-week trip from Ithaca to a Chapter Leaders Academy in Oshkosh in his Skyhawk, with stops at the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta and the Grand Canyon and a Young Eagles Rally in Mack, Colorado, along the way (geography is not Mike’s strong point). A very long cross-country is just a lot of short cross-countries, one after the other, and even if weather gets in the way there are always interesting things to see and do as you go, so visits to a Union Pacific railyard, Meridith Willson’s birthplace and the Air Force Museum in Dayton fit into the route. There are always opportunities for aerial photography on any trip - Mike will be sharing his pictures and stories from the trip with the chapter at our meeting. We’ll gather around 6:30 for snacks and fellowship, and the talk will begin at 7:00.
See you there!
